Bryanna Chemutai is an accomplished financial professional, STEM advocate, and proud Kenyan-American. Hailing from Texas, Bryanna began her higher education journey at Prairie View A&M University, where she studied Finance while competing on the university’s Division 1 Cross Country and Track team. She also represented her school at the Congressional HBCU Week in Washington D.C., organized hackathons events within the local Houston startup community, and even participated in a selective STEM boot camp abroad.
Inspired by one of her role models, Barack Obama, Bryanna then pursued her Master’s in Technology Management at the Ivy League institution, Columbia University, solidifying her commitment to innovation and technological advancement. Additionally, with over five years of professional experience working at Google, Bryanna has not only excelled in her current role as a financial analyst but has also become a leader in the Finance Community employee resource group–organizing campus visits for students and mentoring early-career professionals.
Beyond her professional and academic accomplishments, Bryanna’s reign as Miss Kalenjin USA 2019-2020 highlighted her dedication to empowering young women and promoting cultural heritage. Her love for travel, running, and active involvement in her church reflect her overall well-roundedness. As Miss Kenya USA 2024, Bryanna envisions leveraging the platform to champion STEM education initiatives and mentorship programs, particularly for girls and women in Kenya. She firmly believes in the transformative power of education. She is dedicated to creating lasting change in her community and beyond.
